Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 30, 2025
AI QuickNote ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application processes your information. AI QuickNote does not collect or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data remains solely on your device, under your control.
1. About the Application
AI QuickNote is a mobile app that allows users to:
-
Record voice memos
-
Automatically transcribe them into text
-
Use custom ChatGPT-based text presets to reformat or structure transcriptions
-
Translate text into other languages using Google Translate API
All of these operations are either processed locally on the device or triggered by the user through secure third-party APIs. We do not have access to any of your voice recordings, transcripts, translations, or usage habits.
2. Data Collection Policy
We do not collect, store, track, or share:
-
Your personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
-
Voice recordings
-
Transcribed text
-
Device identifiers (such as IP address, IMEI, or UUID)
-
Usage statistics or analytics
-
Location data
-
Metadata from recordings or files
3. Local Data Storage
All your data — including audio notes, text files, presets, and translations — is stored locally on your device. The application does not sync your data with any external server, cloud service, or database. You have full control over your content.
4. Use of Third-Party APIs
Certain features of the app make use of local system capabilities and third-party APIs to enhance your experience. These include:
-
Apple Transcribe (Speech Framework): Used for transcribing voice notes to text. This feature is powered by Apple’s on-device speech recognition. Audio data is processed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in capabilities, and is not sent to any external server unless explicitly permitted by Apple’s own system settings.
-
OpenAI (ChatGPT): Used to apply custom AI presets to your transcribed text (e.g., summarization, formatting, rewriting). Requests are initiated by you and sent directly from the device to OpenAI's API, depending on your usage.
-
Google Translate API: Used to translate your notes into other languages. Requests are made directly from the device when translation is triggered.
These features work only when manually triggered by you, and data is sent directly from your device to the service provider, without passing through our servers.
5. Data Security
Because we do not store or transmit your personal data, the security of your information is largely dependent on your device’s own safeguards (e.g., lock screen, encryption). We recommend:
-
Enabling biometric or password protection on your device
-
Regularly backing up your device locally or via your trusted cloud provider (if you choose)
6. Your Rights and Control
As we do not collect any data, there is:
-
No user account to manage
-
No registration required
-
No personal data to delete from our side
You have complete control of your content. You can delete recordings or notes at any time directly within the app.
7. Children's Privacy
AI QuickNote is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child is using the app inappropriately, you may delete the app and any locally stored data.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if there are changes to the app or how it interacts with third-party services. Changes will be posted inside the app and reflected with an updated "Last updated" date.
We encourage you to check this policy periodically to stay informed.
